This is an exceptional four-piece ensemble of authentic 18th-century First Period Worcester (Dr. Wall Period) porcelain, dating to circa 1770–1780.This period-correct collection showcases two of Worcester’s most celebrated underglaze cobalt blue transfer-printed patterns. Crucially, all pieces are in flawless, pristine antique condition with absolutely no chips, hairline cracks, fleabites, or restorations—an incredibly rare find for soft-paste porcelain of this age. Every piece features a matching, hand-painted underglaze blue open crescent mark on the base.
What is Included in the Set:
"Fence" Pattern Teapot & Cover: Features the classic chinoiserie landscape complete with the central "Love Birds" and the multi-tiered zig-zag hurdle fence near the base. The lid features a beautifully crisp geometric diaper border and a perfectly intact, hand-modeled flower-bud finial.
"Three Flowers" Covered Butter Tub: A beautiful drum-shaped tub featuring molded shell-form side handles and detailed floral sprays accompanied by printed moths/butterflies. Framed with a lozenge-and-fleck diaper border, the lid features a flawless, fully sculpted rosebud knop and trailing leaves.
"Three Flowers" Covered Sugar Bowl (Sucrier): Coordinated with a large central rosette bloom and a clean double-line blue border. The lid is crowned with a pristine, hand-applied floral bud and tiny leaves.
"Three Flowers" Creamer / Milk Jug: A classic pear-shaped jug with a loop handle and a slightly flared pouring lip, displaying a floral spray balanced by a detailed flying insect motif.
Condition Report: Excellent Antique Condition. There are no chips to the fragile spouts or handles, no hairline fractures to the bodies, and the delicate hand-applied floral finials on all three lids are completely intact. The glaze shows the characteristic, steely-greenish-blue pooling in the seams typical of authentic Dr. Wall paste.
