This is a scarce 1930-1931 Vintage Gillette New De Luxe Criterion open comb safety razor, due to the "great depression" not many of these razors were originally made/ sold, also fewer sold due to their premium price tag.
Overall this set is in very good condition, it does shows signs of wear and age, see all included pictures to evaluate the items condition and there is a typical fissure on the upper handle (does not affect functioning). Some of the original lacquer applied during manufacturing has turned reddish over decades, that is normal, it is a good thing that the lacquer still there protecting the gold plating underneath.
The razor have been thoroughly cleaned up and it will include 10 new Gillette Nacet blades.
