Reproduction white buff leather sling for Enfield Rifle Musket. New Made in Alabama. I recently acquired a number of unfinished items from a maker who is shifting his focus to other items. Included in these items were the makings for 12 of these British slings for Enfield Rifle Muskets. There are many types of British slings from the American Civil War period. This sling is one piece with a buckle. The sling has a fixed loop at one end that fastens to the rear sling swivel and a buckle held by friction and a sliding loop at the top. The buckle is proper cast brass, the leather is genuine buff leather made by a British tannery that went out of business in 2018. The whole sling is hand sewn with waxed Irish Linen thread in Alabama by Czekanski Leatherworks. When these slings sell out I will have no more. This is a proper sling for the Enfield Rifle Musket of the American Civil War as originally imported by the Confederacy. It may also be suitable for other applications.
