Fully hallmarked ornament. In fact, if I’m not mistaken, the London silver hallmark and the date letter “d” on the back of the tail dates it back to exactly 2003. Lovely bright colours and in perfect condition. Work of a master silversmith of the highest order. Beautifully handcrafted enamelling and exquisite detail. For more than thirty years Saturno has been a leading company in the field of silverware, both in the Italian and the international market. Saturno is particularly well known for its figurines featuring unique designs, artisan finishing and production techniques, including investment and die casting.
Due to their model maker\'s expertise and utmost care, their miniature figurines are the result of an in-depth study of real animals, conveying a hig level of quality and art value. Each model is hand enamelled, baked in a kiln then treated to improve tarnish resistance.
After studyng the live animal, a wax prototype that contains all its special features is obtained and after the finishing touches to the metal comes the enamelling process; this involves glazes of overlapping colours using a painting tecnique for which we prepare a flawless base without impurities on the silver surface; the result obtained derives from a long-standing experience and is only certain after baking at medium temperatures; at the end, each is treated to make it less subject to natural ternishing. Many of the ornament making tecniques acquired have greatly improved the quality and aesthetics of all their silver production which also includes bracelets, key rings, chains that are designed and created with the perfection which distinguishes their items from their competitors.
