This sale is for a Japanese Program for the 1958 film The Inn of the Sixth Happiness. This one was hand-signed by multiple members of the cast. NOT reprints. Among these original hand-signed signatures you\'ll find:
Tsai ChinCurt Jurgensand the great Ingrid Bergman, who also wrote a note:
\"Thank you so much for the money you sent to Gladys Aylward\'s Foundation. Best regards...\". Gladys Aylward was the real-life missionary that Ingrid Bergman portrayed in the film.
Approximately 10 1/4\" by 7 1/4\". Signatures are only on the inside pages of the program, rather than the cover.
I believe this was part of the LARGE collection of Japanese signed items which were originally owned by Toshio Ozawa (former Chairman of Sony among other things, who was instrumental in the development of the CD and Laserdisc). He made it a habit to get stars to sign programs, press books, and scripts. Later he focused on Laserdiscs. I have other movie memorabilia items from his collection for sale too, including some choice vintage items.
Feel free to ask any questions. Good luck and thanks for offerding!
You can offer with confidence. I have been an member in good standing since the 1990\'s, and continue to receive terrific response both as a buyer and a seller. I am not a professional dealer; just a regular guy who buys and sells stuff on when I have something to sell or find something to buy.
If you need more photos of an item please just ask.
