The Repertory Theatre of Boston Week of 12/30/29 Programme -- The Water Babies- Just a few months after the Stock Market Crash of 1929, people were able to get some enjoyment by watching Charles Kingsley\'s Classic \"The Water Babies\". This Programme includes some nice shout outs to \"Child\'s (Old France) Restaurant\", \"M. Steinert and Sons\", \"Babcock Coal Co.\" and a few other local Massachusetts companies.
This close to 100-year-old Programme,which measures approx. 3 3/4\" x 8 1/4\" when closed and 11 1/2\" x 8 1/4\" when opened, is in Good+ to about Very Good condition. The illustration and text have good color; the corners have some wear and rounding; there is a full length (approx. 3 3/4\") horizontal folding crease at the center; the front panel has writing in pencil at the bottom left side, the top right-hand corner has some staining,the right-hand side is ragged, there is a blemish under \"Shakespeare\"; the inside center panel has some blemishes at the top edge, the first and second inside panel has a nick at the bottom edge, the bottom right-hand inside panel has a stain under \"Watch\" and a blemish under \"Announcements\"; the back panel has \'U10 3-\' written in pencil at the top right-hand corner, there is a stain at the top right-hand edge, it has the horizontal crease mentioned earlier, there is also a stain at the center between the Stage and Balcony images.
