The Tohono O\'odham Seed / Trinket Vessel and plate by Angea is a handmade pottery piece originating from the United States. Created by Native American artist Angea, this seed / trinket vessel and plate showcases the traditional craftsmanship and cultural significance of the Tohono O\'odham tribe. The plate design is known as the Man in the Maze. With the unique designs and historical roots, these collectible items serve as a beautiful representation of Native American art and heritage.
These pieces were obtained from a local collector. I could not find another one even similar to these pieces. The Angea family had many who created pottery. Most are only signed Angea and it\'s hard to distinguish which family member handmade it. This little vessel is signed G. Angea and through research I could not identify which family member sculpted this piece. The plate is just signed Angea so not sure if these two pieces were crafted by the same person. Could not actually find another piece signed G. Angea. So his/ her work seems to be quite rare. I encourage you to research this family. Quite interesting!
There are no cracks or chips and pieces look to be in great condition. A couple smudge marks. Little vessel measures approximately 3\" H and 2.5\" W and plate measures approximately 5.75\" in diameter. Original price stickers are still attached. These pieces were owned by estate for many many years but I do not know exact age of pieces. Please refer to photos for condition and details. Thank you for looking.
