This listing is for a rare vintage French NOVA Modèle Déposé petrol cigarette lighter with a decorative hand-tooled case.
The lighter features an unusual and attractive hand-tooled design on both sides of the case, together with the characteristic lift-arm mechanism. When the striker is lifted, the flint mechanism is visible.

This type of NOVA petrol lighter with a lever mechanism is generally associated with French production from the 1930s–1950s.
The lighter is in very good vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use. The decorative case is well preserved, with no obvious major damage noted. The mechanism appears complete and in good condition.
The lighter is sold as found, exactly as shown in the photographs. It has not been professionally serviced or restored.
