Striking matching pair of vintage Art Deco bookends dating to approximately the 1930s. These sculptural bookends feature a dramatic mirrored scroll or volute design with stepped architectural detailing and contrasting bronze/copper-tone highlights.
Hollow cast metal construction with an aged bronzed finish and wonderful original patina. This design is characteristic of American Machine Age decorative arts of the period and is similar in style to bookends produced by makers such as Dodge.
