Vintage 1955-1969 Brigham Mountaineer Grade Canadian Bulldog Tobacco Pipe For Sale

Brigham is one of the cornerstone names in Canadian pipe making, with roots going back to 1906. The brand built its reputation on rugged, dependable smokers and its distinctive Distillator system — an insert in the tenon designed to absorb moisture without choking off the draw.

The Mountaineer sits toward the upper end of Brigham’s traditional grading ladder and was typically finished in better-quality briar than the everyday lower grades. You’ll usually see cleaner grain, tighter shaping, and a little more attention to finish while still keeping that very practical Brigham character.

In a Bulldog, it’s an especially good combination. Brigham did classic shapes well, and the Bulldog gives you that broad diamond shank, strong bead lines, and stout Canadian proportions that suit the brand perfectly.

Older Canadian-made Brighams have a loyal collector following today, particularly the higher grades and less common shapes. A Mountaineer Bulldog is exactly the kind of pipe that hits both sides of the fence: collectible enough to be interesting, but built first and foremost to be smoked.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
