# 0474 Vintage 800 Silver Rosary Box Charm Pendant Locket Our Lady of Lourdes
What a cool vintage piece! This is the first time I have ever come across a rosary box/locket. First of all, YES, it does click shut! It is not perfect and it is definitely not new.Please look carefully at the images. To me, just the fact that it clicks shut is a win for me. There are a few little dings on the sides and on the back, and as you can see, there is a larger, indented scratch, s few small dings and it looks like someone may have tried to scratch initials on it.
The locket/box is marked 800 for silver and there appears to be a maker mark; however, I can not identify it.
The listing is for the rosary box; however, I am throwing in the tiny, broken & partially repaired rosary that came with it. It is being held together by threads & a part of the chain is missing that had a small ball on it, so there are only 9 on one side.
To me, this item is in good preowned/vintage condition, meaning lovingly worn and wear consistent with age, use and storage.Please look at all of the images to form your own opinion as to the condition of the item listed as my personal opinion may differ from yours.I have been selling on for over 26 years and love what I do. Please note: On occasion, some items marked and tested gold & silver may have a light magnetic draw around areas where other metal may be used to make the jewelry such as a clasp, underlying base metal chains/ wire metals, soldered areas, etc. this is common. This can also occur,, and is very common, if a magnetic metal was used as a base in the manufacturing process of Rhodium or gold plating (vermeil) to adhere the topcoat to sterling.
Prior to wearing, please get the item checked out, serviced or repaired by a professional as I cannot be held responsible for how any item, clasp, stones, gems, chain, string, findings, etc. will hold up with any sort of handling or wear. Condition:Vintage or preowned jewelry typically shows wear constant with its age. This may include things to expect such as light scratches, tarnish, in need of cleaning or polishing, etc. as it most likely has been worn and loved. Thatis why we love it so much.The images are a major part of the description so please zoom in and look closely so there will be no surprises and you know exactly what I am selling and you will be receiving.
** Most of the time, I try not to disturb any vintage/preowned jewelry by cleaning and/or polishing it in order to keep it in its original patina leaving it to your discretion. I do not want to take a chance ruining something. Depending on your own taste, you can either clean or polish it or keep it in its original state.
My jewelry comes from estates, individual consignors, individual or bulk purchases, etc. In most cases, I do not know the history of the jewelry nor where it has traveled or been stored. Most importantly, I have no idea if it has been around pets, smoke, air fresheners or any sort of allergen or if it smells. (I do not smell jewelry)
