Before MTV and music videos, there was American Bandstand. Dick Clark became one of the most recognizable faces on American television, introducing a generation to rock and roll and shaping popular culture for decades.
Produced by Juro Novelty Company in the late 1950s, this large celebrity doll captures the television icon in his signature clean-cut style, complete with the original tan sport coat featuring a printed Dick Clark autograph, bright yellow double-breasted vest, plaid tie, brown trousers, and lace-up shoes. The molded JURO mark on the back of the neck confirms the manufacturer.
Far less commonly encountered than many mid-century character dolls, this is a wonderful display piece for collectors of television memorabilia, celebrity collectibles, vintage toys, or Americana.
