This box is a beautiful piece of hand crafted micro mosaic work
I believe it was made during the late 20th century
It measures 15” in length and tapers from 5” to 3” in length and is 2” in height
It is fully lined with purple velvet and has brass hinges and closure
The wood is different colors and types (I don’t know what they are) and it also has white tiles made of bone (?) or possibly some sort of stone
It is missing 1 tiny white tile as shown it last photo. It is so unnoticeable that I didn’t even see it until I was taking photos
There are no chips or finds along the edges
I’m not sure what it’s original purpose was, but maybe it held a collection of some sort
It will be carefully packaged and shipped quickly
