Vintage Spanish Navaja 11 B Bustos Santiago Bustos Navarro Horn Handle 3.5” For Sale

RARE VINTAGE SPANISH NAVАJA – 11 B BUSTOS MARK – SANTA CRUZ DE Folding knife bearing the distinctive “11 B” maker’s mark within a diamond on the blade. The 11 B mark is attributed by Spanish navaja collectors to Santiago Bustos Navarro, a cutler associated with the historic knife-making center of Santa Cruz de Mudela, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. The Bustos family is an important name in the Santa Cruz de Mudela navaja tradition. Collector references distinguish the 11 B mark from later Bustos markings, making this an especially interesting knife for someone collecting Spanish navajas or regional European cutlery. Please examine all photographs carefully. The photographs are considered part of the description.COLLECTOR’S NOTEThe 11 B marking is the primary reason this knife is being offered as a collectible Spanish navaja. Spanish collector references associate this mark with Santiago Bustos Navarro of Santa Cruz de Mudela. Because maker attribution on older handmade Spanish navajas can sometimes be complicated, the knife is described as “attributed to Santiago Bustos Navarro based on the 11 B maker’s mark” rather than representing the attribution as absolutely certain.
