Up for sale is an incredibly rare, museum-grade piece of military and menswear history: a 100% genuine, complete US Army M-1948 (M48) Extreme Cold Weather Fishtail Parka.The M-1948 was the very first official fishtail parka ever produced by the US military. Because it was incredibly expensive to manufacture, it was only produced for roughly one year (patterned Dec 1948, manufactured 1949–1950) before being replaced by the lighter M-1951.
