Beautiful set of vintage Japanese Embroidered Floral Tablecloth 50\" x 50\" and 4 Napkins 12\" x 12\". Gorgeous vintage square tablecloth and napkins featuring intricate, multi-colored floral embroidery clusters on the corners and center field. The fabric has a lovely woven damask pattern that catches the light beautifully due to the rayon content. Includes the original fabric description tag. 50% Cotton / 50% Rayon blend fabric (soft, durable texture with a gentle sheen). Made in Japan. Excellent structural integrity with beautiful, tight embroidery work. There is light-to-moderate storage yellowing and localized discoloration areas on the light fabric background, as clearly shown in the photos and the napkins are all in excellent condition, as new condition and still hold the original tags. I am very sure that this set was never used and that the stains on the tablecloth are just product of a long term storage and it could be totally removable. This piece is being sold exactly as found from an estate. It has not been washed, soaked, or treated. Vintage cotton and rayon blends of this type often respond very will to dedicated oxygen-based soaking treatments, which could significantly lift or completely remove the yellowing. The reverse side of the fabric is in very good condition, not stains, as shown in the photos, Perfect to use as a charming layering piece, for a vintage aesthetic tablescape, or for repurposing into craft and upcycled textile projects.
