Description (and please see photographs): San Antonio, Printed at the \"Ledger\" Office, 1853. D. & R. Meade vs. T.P. Rutledge. The dispute arose from an employment contract between a plantation owner named Meade and an overseer named Rutledge. Rutledge had been hired to manage the plantation, but he eventually quit his position because Meade refused to grant him the authority to manage and discipline the enslaved laborers. 16 pages, with ink notations(by ?) on the edges.
