This unusual custom knife measures approximately 10 inches overall, with an approximately 5-inch blade. The substantial polished blade is approximately 2¼–2½ inches wide at its widest point.
The blade features an elaborate multi-purpose design with multiple serrated/notched sections, specialized cutouts, and a distinctive cleaver-style profile.
The knife is constructed with a full tang and features an attractive multicolored laminated wood handle secured with brass-colored pins. The handle has a distinctive sculpted shape with a dramatic hooked pommel.
The exposed full tang bears faint hand-marked specifications, including “440 C” and “56.” These markings are believed to indicate 440C stainless steel and approximately 56 Rockwell C hardness. Additional characters are present but are difficult to decipher; please refer to the close-up photographs.
The knife is attributed to noted American custom knifemaker Alex J. Collins. The maker\'s markings are faint from age and wear; close-up photographs have been provided so buyers can examine the markings for themselves.

Condition
Very good pre-owned vintage condition. The polished blade shows scratches, light surface marks and handling wear consistent with age. The laminated wood handle remains attractive with some minor scratches and handling marks.
The leather sheath shows age-related wear, scratches, edge wear and patina. Stitching and other details should be evaluated from the photographs.
